What to do when a child misbehaves: Effective Parenting
parentingperspective

Shift your perspective when dealing with misbehavior. Instead of thinking your child is ‘misbehaving or not listening,’ consider that they might be trying to tell us something.

Understanding their needs can lead to more effective parenting.

Instead of thinking my child is misbehaving and not listening,
Think if he/she is :
1.seeking connection,
2.having difficulty understanding you or things around him/her,
3.tired or hungry or
4.having an emotional overload

Remember to shift your perspective.Avoid interrupting or dismissing their feelings. Instead, show empathy by acknowledging and validating their emotions. This helps your child feel heard and understood, strengthening your bond.
